History Townsend Neon began as a general signage fabricator and installer in 1930. As the years went by the company, due to unmatched quality and service, was asked to provide more and more services to its growing Detroit customers. Beginning with neon and other cutting edge processes of the day, such as porcelain-on- metal signage, Townsend took each new idea and perfected it, in the very same way that continues to this day.
